1. Fill up your bags so you only have a few free slots.
2. Choose to craft something that requires mats from your reagent bank such that you don’t have enough space to fill your bags.
3. Click Create All in the default crafting interface.
The specific case where it happened to me was creating Rugged Armor Kits. I will test the repeatability of it with cheaper mats later :)

Thankfully Shiny the legend that they are, restored my lost leather and my sanity remained intact. Losing items due to bugs is incredibly frustrating, which is why I marked this as high priority. You definitely want to avoid losing players due to something like this.
